LAKE LINDEN — Barbara Jean Taylor, age 78, of DePere, Wisconsin, former Lake Linden resident, passed away at Saint Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on Nov. 23, 2025.
Barb was born on Aug. 14, 1947, the daughter of Tom and Shirley (Dowd) Frazer. She was one of the “Whiz Kids,” graduating from Lake Linden-Hubbell in 1965. After graduating, she moved to Washington D.C. where she worked briefly for the FBI.
She returned to Michigan and married Stephen Taylor on Sept. 19, 1970. While living in Calumet, they had three daughters and eventually moved to Iron Mountain, where they were both employed by Champion International and resided there until Steve passed away on March 31, 1997.
After moving to Green Bay, Barb worked for Prevea Health and became a member of Saint Bernard’s Parish.
She was an excellent cook and loved bringing people together over food. Her happiest moments were spent traveling, shopping, and enjoying the company of her friends and family. Barb’s kindness, generous heart, and joyful spirit will be remembered always, and she will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband.
She is survived by: three daughters, Beth (Pauline Miller) Taylor of Hubbell, Renee (Mike Tomasik) Taylor of Green Bay, and Christine (Mike VanWolvelaere) Taylor of DePere; sister-in-law, Judi Taylor; nieces and nephews, Cindi (Michael Buenzli), Steve, Mandi, Ray and Helen; and special cousins Patti (Mark Myllyoja) and Molly.
The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral on Saturday, at the Funeral Home.
