Bradley Bonini

BALTIC — Bradley Bonini, 44, a resident of Baltic, unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, shortly after being admitted to UP Health System – Portage hospital from an apparent heart attack.
He was born on July 20, 1981, in Hancock, a son of Robert and Kathy (Phillippi) Bonini. Brad was raised in Baltic and was a graduate of Jeffers High School with the class of 1999. He then attended Northern Michigan University for auto body repair.
Mr. Bonini then moved to Colorado to work as an auto body repair technician. He returned to the Copper Country and worked as a maintenance person for Finlandia University until its closing, being one of the last two employees for Finlandia University. He then worked for Moyle Real Estate as a maintenance person and, more recently, began working for Michigan Technological University in the Facilities and Maintenance Department.
Brad enjoyed time at the family camp in the Huron Mountains and being outdoors, whether it be metal detecting, hunting, fishing, or canoeing. He was a member of White Tails Unlimited and Ducks Unlimited.
Along with helping to care for his mother, Brad was an extremely handy person, being able to work on a variety of projects, especially his pickup truck.
Preceding him in death was his father, Robert “Bob” Bonini.
Surviving are his mother, Kathy Bonini of Baltic; his brother, Cody Bonini of South Range; his nephew, Bennett Bonini of South Range; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A time to remember and share stories for Brad will be held Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, from 4-6 p.m. at the Memorial Chapel Funeral & Cremation Service – Mt. View Chapel of South Range.
A prayer service for Brad will also be held at 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
