Nancy Anderson
FORT GRATIO — Nancy June (Bergh) Anderson passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, with her family by her side.
She was born Dec. 26, 1944, at the Barth Birthing Home in Goodells, Michigan, during a snowstorm.
Nancy loved to sew, knit and was a phenomenal pianist. She played the piano for many churches and also sang in the choir. She spent her career in the medical field caring for others.
One of Nancy’s fondest memories was when she was a little girl and lived in Duluth, Minnesota. Her father was a captain in the U.S. Coast Guard and his ship would dock in Duluth. Their home was on the hill overlooking the Duluth Harbor and Nancy would watch excitedly for his boat to arrive and then run down to the dock to greet him.
Nancy is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Linda) Anderson of Lakeport, Joel (Tammi) Anderson of Port Huron, and Nora Dee of Jacobsville; grandchildren, Laura (Michael) Ferguson, Jessica (Dan) Jones, Jaron (Megan) Anderson, Briana (Brandon) Hilbert, and Grace Dee; great grandchildren, Kaysen Anderson, Braxton and Millie Ferguson, Brooklyn, Logan and Evelynn Jones, and Fawn Hilbert; two sisters, Ginny (Joe) Lorencz of Martinez, California and Phyllis Bergh of Jacobsville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Captain Russell and June Bergh; a sister, Mary Ella Broere; and her son-in-law, John Dee.
A graveside service will be held in July 2026 at Jacobsville Cemetery in Torch Lake Township, Michigan.
Memorials may be made to the Jacobsville Heritage Center.
Nancy’s family wishes to thank the staff at Regency on the Lake for their loving care over the past two years.
