Paulette Foco

HANCOCK — Paulette Ellen Foco, 73, of Hancock, passed away on Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, at Canal View – Houghton County.

She was born in Laurium on June 14, 1952, a daughter of the late Paul and Ellen (Maata) Anderson. She attended Hancock Schools and graduated from Hancock High School in 1970. She attended St. Joseph School of Nursing in Hancock, later graduating as a registered nurse from Joliet Junior College in Joliet, Illinois.

On July 31, 1971, she married Robert D. “Bob” Foco in Hancock. She and her husband lived in several cities around the country, and also spent time in Athens, Greece while her husband served in the United States Navy. She was employed at a Naperville, Illinois, hospital until moving to Flint and Bay City, Michigan, where she worked at McLaren Hospitals. She retired in April of 2014 and moved back to Hancock.

Paulette was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hancock. She enjoyed walking, running, and downhill skiing.

Besides her parents, Paulette was also preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Anderson.

She is survived by her husband, Robert of Hancock; a son, Nathan (Greta) Foco of Salt Lake City, Utah; a daughter, Robin (Andrew) Vernon of Waterford Township, Michigan; a granddaughter, Noelle; a grandson, Holden; and by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of Paulette’s life will be announced at a later date with interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials my be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association of Michigan or the donor’s favorite charity in the name of Paulette Foco.
