Cheryl Mukavetz
LAKE LINDEN — Cheryl Mukavetz, 74, of Lake Linden, passed away after a long illness, at Woodland Haven in Hancock on January 1, 2026, with her husband by her side.
Cheryl was born on August 18, 1951, a daughter of Howard and Ione (Kauthen) Delf. She graduated from Lake Linden-Hubbell High School in 1969. She attended dental hygienist school in Wisconsin. She spent her career working for Rick Kavorick, DDS. Cheryl was married to Mike Mukavetz in 1974, at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden.
She was active in the local chapter of the Michigan Dental Hygienists’ Association.
She enjoyed beading and jewelry making, travel, yoga, and group outdoor activities. She liked to cook and experiment with recipes.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a baby sister-Karen.
Cheryl is survived by: her husband-Mike of Lake Linden; 3 daughters – Megan (Brian Iglar) Mukavetz of Milwaukee, WI, Gina (Mike) Jones of Cleveland, OH, and Sarah Mukavetz (Chris Mayer) of Des Moines, IA; and a sister-Pamela Delf of Orlando.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the dozens of caregivers who provided compassionate care during Cheryl’s time at home, Gardenview, and Woodland Haven. Your kindness, patience, and dedication meant more than words can express.
The memorial service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden with Rev. Bucky Beach to officiate.
Memorials in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
