Judith Chapman

GRAND BLANC — Judith “Judy” Ann Chapman, age 80, of Grand Blanc, Michigan, passed away on March 3, 2026, surrounded by her children. Born on January 24, 1946, in Waukegan, Illinois, to Cecil and Virginia (Reece) Chapman, Judy spent much of her life in Niles, Michigan, and in Michigan’s Copper Country–Houghton and Hancock. She graduated from Michigan Technological University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting. Judy spent many years working in the banking industry before transitioning to roles in the education departments at Michigan Technological University and later at the University of Notre Dame.

Judy found great joy in helping others and was a devoted mother and friend. She was known for her warm spirit, her love of line dancing, and her active involvement at Faith Lutheran Church, where she played handbells and sang in the choir.

Judy is survived by her sons, Scott A. Graham (Denise) and Stephen D. Graham (Laura); her grandchildren, Corey Graham (Elizabeth), Victoria Graham, Parker Graham, MacKenzie Graham, Jeffrey Olson (Taylor), Matthew Olson, and Emily Olson; her great-grandchildren, Noah Graham, Castiel Graham, Elijah Graham, and Brooks Olson; her brother, Charles Chapman; her sister, Christy Chapman Sabade (Daniel); and her loving companion, Lola. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Through her selfless decision to be an organ donor, Judy leaves behind a powerful legacy of kindness, generosity, and love for others.

A memorial service will be held in the spring, with details to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gift of Life Michigan or Faith Lutheran Church in Grand Blanc, Michigan.

Judy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
