Louis B. Sullivan

L’ANSE — Louis B. Sullivan, age 75, of L’Anse, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Optalis Health and Rehabilitation of Kingsford in Kingsford, Michigan.

He was born in L’Anse on November 5, 1950, the son of the late Walfred and Betty (Connor) Sullivan. Louis graduated from L’Anse High School in 1969. On December 16, 1978, he married Connie L. Burke in Mass City, Michigan. She preceded him in death in 2023.

Louis was a member of Mission United Lutheran Church, Pelkie. He was employed as a welder for Massie Manufacturing, where he worked for 30 years before retiring. He enjoyed hunting, cutting wood, spending time in the woods, gardening, and playing softball in his younger years. Above all, Louis cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.

Louis is survived by his loving children: Jason Sullivan of Florence, Wisconsin; Shaun Sullivan (Gina Magaraggia) of L’Anse; Jeremy Sullivan of Reedsburg, Wisconsin, and Kristin Sullivan (Chris Voakes) of L’Anse. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Josilyn, Sadie, Brodie, Demi, Gracie, and Bailey, all of L’Anse; his brother, Jim (Brenda) Sullivan of Nisula; and his sisters-in-law, Charlene Sullivan of L’Anse and Judy Sullivan of Alston. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Connie; his brothers, Wally and Mike; and his sister, Susan.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Mission United Lutheran Church in Pelkie, with Pastor Kelly Ylitalo officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. Immediately following the service, the family invites friends to join them for a luncheon and fellowship in the church hall.

Spring interment will take place in the Alston Cemetery.
