LAKE LINDEN — Roy Lee McIntyre, 62, of Lake Linden, passed away at his home with his wife by his side, on April 9, 2026.

Roy was born in Kenosha, WI, on November 25, 1963, a son of Jack McIntyre and Jeannette McElfresh. He was raised is L’Anse, Michigan. He attended schools is L’Anse before enlisting in the US Navy. He served on the USS Puget Sound. After his honorable discharge, he went to work for Certainteed in L’Anse until his retirement in 2023.

Roy was married to Brenda Dairo Stoel at Saint Joseph Church in Lake Linden. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Roy was preceded in death by: his father-Jack, a granddaughter-Madison, and father-in-law-Joe Dairo, Sr.

He is survived by: wife-Brenda of Lake Linden, 3 children — Steven (Elizabeth) Stoel, Justin Stoel, and Melinda (Jeff) Shade; grandchildren — Teddy, Lucy, Samantha, Hailey, Steven, Heidi, Silas, Sawyer, Hannah, and Sam and they were the love of his life; mother — Jeannette McElfresh; 3 sisters-Grace Mae, Angie McIntyre, and Cindy McIntyre; close friends-Phil Keranen, Brian Lassila, Peggy Dairo, and Denise Dairo; mother-in-law-Betty Jean Dairo; brother-in-law-Joe Dairo; sister-in-law-Aileen Wanttaja; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden. At the conclusion of the visitation, the Copper Country Veterans will conduct Military Rites and the Funeral Liturgy will be at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home, with Father Raju Jose to officiate.
