Louise Condon
HANCOCK — Louise L. Condon, a resident of Hancock, passed away on April 19, 2026. She was born on November 5, 1946 in Nutley, New Jersey to Arch and Rose Lamont. Graduating from Passaic High School in 1964, Louise worked in Washington, D.C., Mount Snow, Vermont, Toms River, New Jersey, and Houston, Texas.
In 1984 Louise met the love of her life, Charles Condon, and they were married on April 13, 1985 in Houston Texas. She and Charles remained in the south until they retired and moved to Hancock (Ripley).
Louise was an active member of the Church of the Resurrection in Hancock and found great satisfaction in administering to the needs of her family and parish. It was her great hope that she was able to portray the God-given qualities of Christian beliefs and to be a positive effect of the lives of those she met.
“I have been blessed with family, friends, and a loving husband and his wonderful family. Our Lord has shown me a path to follow and it has enriched my life. My hope is for my loved ones and friends to find happiness and peace in their lives.”
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Archibald G. and Rose Bohlman Lamont, her step-father Herb Benson, her grandparents, aunts and uncles, and her nephew PhD James Sorce.
She is survived by her husband Charles Condon, her sister Barbara-Lee Sorce, a nephew Raymond Sorce, a nephew’s wife Elena Sorce, and members of her extended Condon family.
Visitation will be held from 8:30 A.M. to 9:30 P.M. on Friday, May 15, 2026 at the Church of the Resurrection in Hancock with the Rosary recited at 9:30 followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at the Church. Interment will be in the Condon family lot in Lakeside Cemetery in Hancock.
