Michael Williams
MARQUETTE — Michael Williams, age 80, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2026 in Marquette, Michigan surrounded by his family. He was born on September 1, 1945 in Calumet, Michigan.
Mike was a man who truly enjoyed life’s simple pleasures and God’s creation. He loved hunting, trapping, fishing, boating and going to Isle Royale. He also loved driving and car rides. He treasured time spent outdoors, having fun, making memories, and cracking jokes with family and friends.
Mike graduated from Calumet High School with the class of 1963. He then went to Northern Michigan University before serving in the United States of America Army and was a proud veteran. He worked at Williams Parts & Supply Co. with his family his entire career. Mike was a member of Calumet Elks and Lions Clubs. He was also a member of the Otter Lake Sportsman Club, American Legion in Baraga, the VFW and Eagles of Negaunee.
Always a proud Yooper devoted to supporting the Detroit Tigers and Lions.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Buster Williams; his brother, Davy Williams; his son, Mickey Williams; and his first wife and mother of his three children, M.M. Williams.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Karen Anderson; his children, Penny Marchionda and Bob Williams (Sherry Suhonen); his siblings, Peggy Niemela (Don), Tommy Williams (Marilyn), and Patty Williams; several nieces, nephews and cousins; Karen’s children, David (Seung Hee) Anderson, Kevin (Angela) Anderson, Brian (Michelle) Anderson, and Jesse (Shelby) Anderson. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Samantha (Zach) Burks, Rocco Marchionda, Ayden Williams, and Nathan Marchionda as well as Karen’s many grandchildren, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Mike’s love for family, adventure, and the outdoors will be remembered always by those who knew and loved him. His jokes will forever be retold and never not laughed at.
Upon Mike’s request there will be no visitation or services.
