LAKE LINDEN -- Carol Griffin, age 87, of Lake Linden, passed away on July 26, 2026 at Our Lady of Mercy in Hubbell, after a short illness.
She was born on March 20, 1939, a daughter of George and Lucille (Cwoidrak) Gaulin. She graduated from Lake Linden-Hubbell High School in 1957.
Carol was a hospice volunteer for Keweenaw Home Nursing and Hospice and a volunteer at the Houghton County Historical Museum.
She was married to Ira "Bud" Grifin in 1957 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden. He passed away on September 21, 2026. Carol was also preceded in death by: a son-Glen Griffin and her parents.
She is survived by: a daughter-Cindy Griffin (Ray Kramer); a son-Eric Griffin; daughter-in-law-Suyeon; grandchildren-Katie and Jack; brothers-Weldon (Lois) Gaulin, Ronald (Mary) Gaulin, and Gary (Kathy) Gaulin; a brother-in-law- John (Yvonne) Griffin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden followed by the Funeral Liturgy at 7:00 with Father Raju Jose to officiate. Burial will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.
