David Linja

CALUMET — David Linja of Calumet, passed away on July 8, 2026 in God’s country, Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Dave was born on February 23, 1961 in Garden City, Michigan to Edsel and Esther Linja.

Dave proudly served in the US Navy for 30 years. He retired as a Master Chief in 2010. Afterwards, Dave and his wife, Anne, moved up north and enjoyed spending their time at his grandfather’s old farm (when they weren’t snowed in).

Dave is preceded in death by his parents Edsel and Esther (Narhi) Linja. He is survived by his wife Anne, his children Brianna and Katie, sister Janice (John) Jamieson, and nephew Jack Jamieson.

A service for Dave Linja will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Calumet, MI on Monday, July 13, 2026 with visitation at 10 a.m. followed by a mass at 11 a.m. and a graveside burial at Waasa Cemetery.
