CLARKSON -- Lawrence "Larry" John Liggett of Clarkston; passed away on July 28, 2026; age 78. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Charlene, his parents, Harvey and Monica Liggett, and his sister, Kathleen Prichard. Loving father of Lawrence (Brenda) Liggett & Charles (Sonya) Liggett. Proud grandfather of Kayla, Charles Jr (Searra), Ashley, Faith, and Connor. Great Grandfather of Evelyn, Maeve, Charles III, Jameson, and Lincoln. Step Grandfather of Myciah, Jaiden, Solona, and Zander. Brother of Richard (Ellen) McMillan and brother in law of Lynn (Wayne) Tindol.
Larry retired from the Oakland County Sherriff's Department. He was a longtime member of the Ortonville Masonic Lodge. Larry enjoyed hunting, camping, and traveling up north. Many of you may know him as Charlene’s husband as they spent many summers in Copper Harbor tending the Bergh Cottages. He had a unique way of making time fly, turning 5 minute chit-chats into hours of light-hearted conversation as if you were lifelong friends. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and chronicling their genealogy. At his core, Larry was a family man who personified the virtues of tender love and care that he faithfully imparted into all those who crossed his path.
