Lynda Miller

HANCOCK --Lynda Miller, 54, passed away on August 20, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones at PortagePointe, Winona House.

Lynda Miller was born on September 5, 1971, in Detroit, Michigan. She is the cherished daughter of Kenneth and Josephine Miller. She was raised in Clinton Township and graduated from Warren Woods Tower High School in 1998. Later on, she moved to Hancock, Michigan where she was embraced by her sister’s, Catherine Paul’s, family.

Lynda was best known for her twinkling eyes, million dollar smile and loving heart. She adored her friends and they in turn adored her. As an adult, Lynda would go to VAD Camp in Lexington, Michigan each summer. After camp Lynda’s dearest friends would host her. Those 2-3 weeks created so many beautiful memories for Lynda.

Lynda is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Josephine Miller.

Lynda is the sweetest sister of Catherine Paul (Nels Paul), Patricia Miller-Hurley (Joseph Hurley), David Miller (Cheryl Miller) and Leslee Risi (Tom Risi). She touched the hearts of her nieces, nephews and even grandnieces and grandnephews. Lynda made us all better people.

Visitation will be held in the Upper Peninsula on Monday, August 31, 2026 at SS Peter and Paul Lutheran Church, 1010 Madeleine Church, Houghton, Michigan, 49931, visitation is from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM with the service starting at 11:30 AM with Pastor Kevin Bender officiating.

A visitation and service will also be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, visitation starting at 9:30 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 95 Market St., Mt. Clemens, Michigan, 48045, until the funeral Mass at 10:00 AM with Rev. David Tomaszycki officiating. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.

Lynda’s family is eternally grateful for all the tender care she received at PortagePointe in Winona House. So many amazing people and friends there, there are not enough words to reflect our gratitude.
