CALUMET -- Dwane Jay Maki, age 56, of Calumet, passed away at his home on September 27, 2026. Dwane was born in Laurium, Michigan, on November 14, 1969, to Wesley Maki and Claire Kolmonen. Dwane was a well-known mechanic in the Calumet area for many years. He will be remembered for his dedication to his work and the lasting impression he made on everyone who knew him.
Dwane is survived by his beloved daughter, Mackenzie (Tyler) Maki of Crawfordville, Florida; his mother, Claire Kolmonen of Calumet, Michigan; and his sisters, Wanda Erkkila of Calumet, Michigan; Lissa Maki of Hancock, Michigan; and Jamie (Tyson) Connell of Hancock, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Maki; his brother, David L. Maki; and his uncle, Sulo Maki.
