Dollar Bay -- Kenneth C. Clouthier, 85, a resident of North Grosse Pointe Shores, passed away Friday, September 11, 2026, at HSHS St. Mary’s Medical Center in Green Bay, WI, following a short illness.
He was born on April 16, 1941, in Lake Linden, a son of the late Henry and Leona (DeRoche) Clouthier Sr. Ken was raised in Lake Linden, he attended St. Joseph’s School and graduated from Lake Linden High School with the class of 1958. Ken then attended a forestry program through Michigan Technological University at Alberta.
On June 30, 1962, Ken was united in marriage to the former Marcia Gunnari. The couple had resided in Lake Linden, Appleton, Dollar Bay, and for the past 25 years have made their home in North Grosse Pointe Shores.
Mr. Clouthier began his working life in Appleton, WI. He then moved back to the area to work for Copper Range Company and then was the Superintendent at Northern Hardwoods before owning and operating his own business, Kenneth Clouthier Forestry Products, which he ran until his retirement.
Ken was active locally with the Dollar Bay Lions Club, helping organize their first Chicken BBQ; professionally, he was active with the Lake States Lumber Association and the Timber Producers Association. He enjoyed time outdoors camping and snowmobiling. He was active bowling in the local leagues for over 50 years.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his brothers George and Gerard and his sister Gloria Mikko.
Surviving are: His wife: Marcia Clouthier; His daughter: Lisa (Dr. Glen Kauppila) Clouthier, His brother: Henry Clouthier; His sister-in-law: Kay Helmuth; & Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins
As requested, a private graveside service will take place in the Calvary Cemetery of Ahmeek.
