Mark Pikkarainen

ROGERS, MN -- Mark Roy Pikkarainen, age 65 of Rogers, Minnesota passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 10, 2026 following a courageous battle with kidney cancer.

Mark was born along with his twin brother David in Hancock, Michigan to Roy and Janet Pikkarainen on April 23rd, 1961. He married the love of his life Lynn Loonsfoot of Chassell, Michigan on August 8th, 1987 and they moved to Minnesota where they raised their three beautiful children together.

Mark absolutely loved life and couldn't wait to wake up to enjoy each beautiful morning. An avid sportsman with a passion for nature -- whether alone or with family and friends -- he found endless ways to enjoy every second of every day whether it be hunting, fishing, metal detecting, hockey, golf, tennis, or photography. Mark was a kind and caring man. Faith, family, and friends were most important to him.

Mark is survived by his loving wife, Lynn Pikkarainen, and their children Ryan (Heather), Tara (Nolan), and Aaron (Autumn); Father Roy Pikkarainen; Mother Janet Pikkarainen; Twin Brother David Pikkarainen; 9 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.

A funeral service will be held for Mark Pikkarainen on Friday, September 18, 2026 at Zion Lutheran Church in Hancock, Michigan at noon. There will be a two hour visitation prior to the service from 10 a.m.- noon at the church. Mark will be laid to rest in Lake View Cemetery in Calumet, Michigan following the service.
