John R. Chamberlain ,age 79 of Perry, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026, at Memorial Healthcare Center. There are no services at this time.
Cremation has taken place. Arrangements are being handled by Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Perry Chapel.
John Richard Chamberlain was born on June 26, 1947, in Houghton, a son of Joseph and Norma (Draws) Chamberlain. He graduated from Michigan Tech University in Houghton.
On April 28, 1978, he married Deanna Barrett.
John enjoyed playing the accordion, boating, ham radio, traveling; he liked fixing and building things and was a Studebaker enthusiast. Prior to his retirement, he worked as an electrical engineer for 35 years at the Lansing Board of Water and Light.
John is survived by his wife, Deanna Chamberlain; and brother, Fred (Chris) Chamberlain.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Norma Chamberlain.
