Dayna Yvette Carlson of Laurium, Michigan passed away on June 13, 2026 at The Omega House in Houghton, Michigan. Dayna was born on July 10, 1949 in Pocatello, Idaho to parents Lawrence Elwin Smith and Dorothy Christine Smith. Dayna graduated from Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, Oregon. She went on to serve in the U.S. Army. Dayna also worked as a seamstress doing wedding alterations and gown design, as well as being a house wife.
