Thanks for help with fundraiser

To the editor:

The Chassell Township School District would like to thank the sponsors, community members and businesses for donating to the “Brody Etelamaki Fundraiser Shoot for a Cure” which was held on Monday, December 23, 2013. The event was planned around the boys and girls varsity basketball games scheduled between Chassell and Ontonagon school districts, along with several other activities. T-shirts were sold before the event and also the night of the event (both Chassell and Ontonagon team members supported Brody by wearing “Shoot for a Cure” t-shirts); the money from the ticket sales at the door went toward the fundraiser; along with concession stand sales and bake sales (bake goods were provided by community members). Two 50/50 raffles were held along with a silent auction of more than 40 baskets of gifts donated by businesses and the Chassell elementary classrooms K-6.

Thank you to the Ontonagon schools for purchasing t-shirts for all the varsity team members and coaches; thank you to the Ontonagon community and families for their support during this event.

A list of businesses who made donations or supplied items for the silent auction include: 41 Lumber, 5th & Elm Street Coffee House, Ambassador, Ameriprise Financial (Buster Roberts), Angelic Healing Estelle LaRue, Applebees, Beth Jukuri Quilts, Center Ice Skate & Sport, Chassell PATT Group, Chickadees, Copper Country/West Pac Conference Season Pass, Country Inn & Suites, Denise Kinnunen hand painted cards and picture, DP Construction Dan Palosaari, Julie Dewar Detroit Tiger Blanket and earrings, Downtowner Lounge, Down Wind Sports, Econo Foods, Einerlei, Erickson Feed & Seed, Guys & Dolls, Festival Foods/Pat’s Foods, J.
