Kudos to the Daily Mining Gazette with their inclusion of the “Police Log” in nearly every edition. As a USMC veteran and a retired peace officer, I have a law enforcement background in my life.

I really believe that too many citizens feel that there are too many officers around with not much to do but to hang near the coffee shop. Obviously, with the reports in this log one can see that most of the time these dedicated public servants are quite busy handling a wide array of problems, complaints, and emergencies. Our hats should be off to them. Sadly some people curse and criticize any rule or law enforcement person, especially if they have been pinched themselves.

But have these same people need help from a threat or perhaps have a crime perpetrated on them, miraculously the law is their best friend.

Such is life, anyway to all mentioned above, keep up the good work!
