Pat on back for job well done
To the editor:
On behalf of my family and the many families who have loved ones in the Oskar Cemetery, I would like to thank the eighth-grade students from Jeffers High School, parent chaperone Dale Vadnais, and their teacher for the amazing work they did to help rake and clean up the cemetery.
Many people are not here or are unable to rake and do some of the physical work needed to make the grave sites presentable. Just in time for Memorial Day, this group of hard-working young people went above and beyond with their efforts.
When you see them, give them a heartfelt “thank you” and pat on the back for a job well done. These young adults are learning what it means to be productive, helpful and responsible members of a community. We are lucky to have them. Thank you again.
