To the editor:

Following is a letter mailed to the Chassell Township Board:

Dear Chassell Township Board Members,

I am writing in response to the Mining Gazette article in which it was reported that you have decided to put the library issue on the ballot again. What is your legitimate reason for doing so? Was there fraud associated with the election on Aug. 2? The reason given in the article was that some people forgot to vote. Ridiculous! Does that mean you’ll re-do the election again after November if some more people forget to vote? What about the congressional or presidential election? Can they be done over if people forget to vote?

Board members David Mattson, Kelly Holmes, Ryan Kuntze and Dan Palosaari, you are an embarrassment to Chassell Township and a disgrace to the democratic process and the office you hold. Shame on you!

Rescind your decision to again place the library issue on the ballot in November.
