To the editor:

As a teacher, I have taught several young immigrants brought to the U.S. as young children. This is the language and culture they know. America is their home and most work hard to achieve the dreams they share with their neighbors.

Our president’s harsh words about them in the wee hours of Easter morn ing no less, should let any Christians who voted for him know that he is not one of them.

Regardless of one’s view on DACA, and whether young people brought to this country by no choice of their own should be allowed to stay, the timing of the president’s tweets reveal his character. President Trump is a mean-spirited human being who uses children as bargaining chips and holidays for hate.
