To the editor:

We would like to express a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped with the recent flood damage on McCallum Lane.

Three culverts washed-out during the flood, leaving the road impassable. The wonderful crew of the Houghton County Road Commission and Sarazin Logging of Bootjack responded immediately with endless loads of gravel and two days of determination to restore the badly damaged areas.

We would also like to express our gratitude for Dave’s Odd Jobs, Waste Management, 211, Hubbell Fire dept., United Methodist Church, FEMA and our friends and family that assisted with debris removal.

The tremendous help was deeply appreciated!
