As the director of the Life Outreach Center, I would like to thank all that were in attendance at our annual fundraising banquet held on Oct. 23 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Calumet. This banquet could not have happened without the help of numerous people.

I wish to extend a very warm thank you to the following:

Sacred Heart Catholic Church — use of your hall; underwriters — financing the banquet; table hosts — inviting your guests; Marc Norton — printing invitations and pledge cards; Major Farley and the JROTC students — servers; MTU Students For Life — servers; Barbara King and SS Martha and Mary Conference — preparing and cooking dinner; Erin — our keynote speaker via video; David King — technical expertise for video; Fr. Dustin Larson — emcee, closing remarks and prayer; Pastor Tony Laidlaw — opening prayer; Joan Polzien — piano music; Mike Moore — appeal; Laura Moore — beautiful centerpieces; Julie Carlton — banquet coordinator; Addy Schmidt and Lorena Kurburski — helping Julie; LOC Board members — for all of your help pulling this banquet together.

Last, but certainly not least, I wish to thank all who were in attendance who were able to either donate or give pledges. We are so appreciative of your gift and your belief in our ministry.

Without all of you, our work with women, babies and their families would not be possible. Without you, our doors at the Life Outreach Center would not be able to stay open.

We know that God continues to guide us, and we are excited for this next year in our new location, as well as the opening of a satellite office in L’Anse very soon.
