We could all show love

To the editor:

No doubt all of humanity is experiencing its last hurrahs. America is now exhibiting the same attributes that brought the demise of Rome and other great civilizations. These include:

1. Love of show and luxury (affluence),

2. Widening gap between rich and poor,

3. Obsession with sex,

4. Freakishness in the arts masquerading as originality, and

5. Increased desire to live off the state.

Worse yet, the Left in our country is openly anti-American, anti-Israel, anti-Constitutional, anti-capitalism, anti-free speech, anti-Christian, pro-abortion, pro-violence, pro-immorality and pro-indecency. Those mass shootings aren’t over. The prince of this world is making unprecedented headway.

That said, thoughts turn to the Bible where no distinction is made between Jew/Greek, male/female, black/white. We’re all descendants of Adam … one race/one blood.

Fact: God transcends gender, i.e., neither male nor female although the Bible depicts God as masculine. Reason: mankind needs a father figure and rule giver.

Assuredly, the absence of fathers corresponds to a host of social ills including school dropout and jail time. Boys, especially, need a model to emulate. Without a male rule giver, young men are likely to do great harm. People who commit nearly all world violence are males. And most women in jail grew up without a father in the family.

Truth nugget: Physically, gender is determined by chromosomes, but more importantly, God has designed men and women spiritually with different strengths and responsibilities. The Left’s attack on gender is a denial of reality and a rebellion against God’s design, producing the present chaos.

Still, amid the tragic downward spiral of humanity there is still hope which is found in Jesus Christ. Remember that all Scripture is given by inspiration of God (2 Tim 3:16). Paul, John and others were writers but the Author of the Bible was the Holy Spirit.
