Troubling areas of today’s culture

To the editor:

Three things are very troubling in today’s cultural atmosphere: diversity, Marxist tendencies and global warming.

1. So-called “diversity” is a scam. Most emphasis regarding race stirs up hatred by dividing us into tribes rather than uniting us around the virtues of freedom, encouragement, and love for one another. The Bible clearly states we are all one blood, one race, accountable to God and each other. The remainder of diversity entails sexual perversion, fostering STD epidemics, broken families, and dangerously confused children.

2. Promoted by the Liberal Left media, not only has God been kicked out of schools and the public domain but also the Bible is now referred to as hate speech. The absence of the Bible in America is causing moral chaos. God only knows what lies in store for us, particularly our vulnerable young people. Sinful behavior is increasing but will such sin keep a person out of Heaven? Yes, even one sin keeps you out of a perfect Heaven. Sin knows no diversity (Romans 3:23). That’s why God became man and Jesus died for our sins. Our part? Repent and trust Him. His resurrection proves that only He has the technology to raise you from the dead to live on a restored New Earth as part of God’s family.

3. Don’t worry about Leftist scams on carbon emissions or plastic straws. If the Left cared about the environment they would clean up the filthy cities they control. Yet God designed the Earth with resilience. In Genesis 8:22 God says, “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” But because of man’s sins He will judge our planet soon. See Revelation 16-18.

Right now, an unknown author puts it this way: The Bible is the mind of God, state of man, way of salvation, doom of sinners, and happiness of believers. Its doctrines are holy; its precepts binding; its histories true, and its decisions immutable. Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy. Christ is its grand subject, our good its design, and the glory of God its end. Read it slowly, frequently, and prayerfully. Follow its precepts and it will lead you to Calvary, to the empty tomb, to a resurrected life in Christ, and yes, to glory itself for all eternity.
