A Texas-sized thank you
To the editor:
Thank you for printing my letter requesting your readers to send information about your city. Each one of my classmates sent a letter to a different city across our country. Everyone was impressed at how much mail I received. Even the kids whose letters were printed in large metropolitan newspapers didn’t get the response I did! Thank you so much for all the postcards, letters, maps, and brochures that were sent. I loved reading about the large amount of snow you get in the winter. We get very little snow here in Texas. It sounds like an amazing place to live. I’m very interested in your copper mining history. I especially want to thank your local authors who sent signed copies of their books and the family who sent a piece of float copper. I have enjoyed receiving all of your mail. Thanks again to everyone who has sent me something. You made the best class project ever!
