Conventional wisdom
To the editor:
Because of an internet-posting of a cowardly attack on my opinion letter in the local newspaper, I offer this explanation.
Smithsonian Institution planetary scientist Thomas Watters’ exact quote follows: “The whole idea that a 4.6-billion-year-old rocky body like the moon has managed to stay hot enough in the interior and produce this network of faults just flies in the face of conventional wisdom.”
Conventional wisdom is defined as a generally accepted theory or belief. Therefore conventional wisdom indicates the moon is fairly young, dispelling the evolutionist million-of-years claim.
Interesting to note is that the default approach of evolutionists is to mock rather than present a straight-forward rational argument. Apparently they aren’t up to the challenge.
