To the editor:

Recently I saw Vice President Mike Pence on TV visiting the Mayo Clinic without wearing a mask. The next day, I phoned the clinic. They said their policy is for everyone to wear a mask but he refused.

I shared my wish that the clinic had held their ground. Mayo is a world-renowned institution and they failed to uphold science by letting politics rule the day. How are we going to teach our children to respect this virus and the rules of a top notch clinic when a bully gets his way?

The international scoreboard for his visit is Science 0 – Politics 10.

Their administration official stated that the switchboard has been flooded with calls similar to mine and they are taking the public reaction under review. I hope the clinic makes a public apology to America and the entire international community.
