Vote for the right to life

To the editor:

There are many reasons I am voting 100 percent Republican in the upcoming election – legal immigration, low taxes, personal and religious freedom, criminal justice reform, strong military, originalist judges, etc. But the most important reason is the sanctity of innocent human life.

Some people try to fool themselves, but it’s very clear that the unborn are more than a bunch of cells. As someone who believes all humans deserve equal rights, I believe that abortion is a grave injustice and recognize the atrocity of ending these innocent lives. All humans deserve equal rights, even the unborn. And yes, pro-life people care about the babies after they are born, too. Because some people could have it hard, doesn’t give us a right to kill the unborn or decide who has the right to live.

President Donald Trump, John James, Jack Bergman, and Greg Markkanen have all been endorsed by the Right to Life of Michigan. The Republican party platform affirms that the unborn child has a fundamental right to life which cannot be infringed. President Trump has been the most pro-life president in our history.

The Democratic party platform has become so radical that many will not even vote to give life-saving care to a newborn infant who survives abortion. While Biden changes his abortion stance, he now supports the right of unlimited abortion, funded by the taxpayers, up until the moment of birth. Harris has advocated for abortions on demand for any reason at any time, a position that puts her way out of step with most Americans. Janet Metsa has been endorsed by Planned Parenthood Advocacy of Michigan (they can try to hide the fact they are there for abortions) and Emily’s List (PAC that helps female candidates that favor abortion rights.)

It is sad that some people claim they are a Christian, but they are going to vote for a candidate that supports abortion. The biblical stance is to protect life, and we need to fight for God’s creation in the womb. The right to life is so fundamental and the deprivation of that right is so grievous that it ought to be of primary importance to every voter at the ballot box. After all, we only have the right to vote because we were first afforded the right to life.

Vote Republican to protect the most fundamental of all human rights -the right to life.
