Watercross thanks

To the editor:

Throughout 2020 our daily lives and routines have undergone a massive change. Sacrifices have been made in our personal lives for sure. Almost as importantly, activities and events that typically allow us to escape from the cares and worries of our daily grind have also been a victim of the pandemic that has stopped most everything we enjoy from happening.

One of the rare exceptions this past year was the 1st Annual Jeff Moyle Watercross held in Lake Linden in late August. Amid shutdowns, restrictions, and extreme safety measures, and with guidance from the WUPHD, State of Michigan and local health officials, the event went on as scheduled. It turned out to be a tremendous success. Enough so, that a regular place on the circuit has been established and the IWA has added Lake Linden to its annual schedule starting in 2021!

The Lake Linden Fire Dept. would like to thank the following list of event donors. This group determined that even a scaled-down event was worthwhile in the face of a pandemic that stopped almost everything and they were courageous enough to support us at a time when some thought it unwise. We hope that you will support us in the future and we will work to make each year’s event an even greater success. A special thanks to:
