To the editor:

The words of the prophets were written on the Subway Walls.

Remember when Donald Trump was elected President, and the Democrats warned us all what America would be like after four years of Trump? The FBI targeting, hounding and prosecuting innocent people for purely political reasons. People falling ill from mysterious diseases. People afraid to leave their homes. The worst economic meltdown since the Great Depression. Professors and teachers getting fired for reading the words of Martin Luther King out loud.

People forced to apologize for the crime of having been born. People afraid to say what they think. Afraid to even think what they think.

The entire country obsessed with the subject of racial identity, to the exclusion of everything else.

Black neighborhoods terrorized by roaming gangs of masked thugs with guns, baseball bats, bottles and rocks.

Black-owned businesses looted and burned to the ground. Black cops shot and killed, and the news media “forgetting” to “notice.” Police being pulled out of black neighborhoods, causing crime to shoot upward almost instantly in those neighborhoods, preying especially on the elderly.

Antisemitic graffiti scrawled on buildings everywhere. Giant corporations using their filthy lucre to buy immunity from scrutiny of their labor and trade practices. A foreign power dictation to us what we could or could not say on our own social media.

Wow, isn’t that amazing?

The Democrats were absolutely right! There is only one thing they forgot to tell us. That they, themselves, would be the ones bringing these things to America.
