Non-objective news

To the editor:

Is it honest and objective news we hear and read, or propaganda,?

The Epoch Times compared the Associated Press to TASS, the Soviet “news” agency. The AP isn’t that evil, but it is biased.

We know about George Floyd and the cop who killed him in May 2020, but what about the other victims and their killers?

If AP articles in the Gazette are your only sources of national news and you never read the editorial pages, you’ve never heard of David Dorn or Ashli Babbitt. Who are they, and do they matter?

Dorn, a retired African-American police captain, was killed in St. Louis in June 2020 by BLM looters in a “peaceful” riot. His name was in the Gazette only twice last year.

Conservative columnist Cal Thomas wrote about Dorn, whose widow spoke at the GOP Convention. I mentioned him in a letter.

Babbitt, an unarmed Trump supporter, was shot to death by a cop in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 6 at the mostly peaceful protest about election results. The cop was not prosecuted, but Babbitt’s family filed a $10 million wrongful death lawsuit.

The AP and other left-wing news media don’t care about Dorn or Babbitt. I care. Do you?

A letter praised Antifa as patriotic fighters against fascism, but those radical anarchists burned Bibles and American flags in Portland, Oregon.

Antifa and BLM rioters cause $2 billion dollars damage in 2020. Their comrades in the news media ignored those facts.

Editor’s note: Merriam-Webster defines Antifa as “a person or group actively opposing fascism” or “an anti-fascist movement.”

In the cases of the deaths of Dorn and Babbitt, St. Louis Regional Crimestoppers have offered a reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for Dorn’s death. Babbitt’s family, as of September, had threatened to sue for wrongful death. Their lawyers believe their case is strong enough for them to land “upwards of $10 million.”

Starting at $3.50/week.
