Thanks, ‘Andrew’
To the editor:
A young man, only known as “Andrew” to me, was at the free meal event hosted by Applebee’s in Houghton in observance of Veteran’s Day. Getting a free meal was nice in itself; but, Andrew went out of his way to shake all Veterans’ hands and thank them for their service.
This made the day even more special. It was refreshing to see that at least some youth recognize and appreciate the sacrifices that all U.S. Veterans’ have made, including myself. Well done lad!
