To the editor:

You will not find a more conscientious City of Houghton resident than Craig Waddell. I have been his neighbor for over 20 years and have seen his dedication to making our neighborhood and the city a better place in which to live.

He is thorough, engaged, and truly cares about the issues that affect the residents of the city. He has been vocal about the city’s policy on rental properties and the responsibilities of landlords to maintain their properties.

He has expressed concern and made suggestions on how to better deal with bridge traffic. And closer to home, he has coordinated with neighbors on the humane relocation of skunks for the safety of the children and pets in the neighborhood.

These are just a few examples of how Craig cares for the community and works to make it a better place.

Please join me in supporting and voting for Craig Waddell for the open seat on the Houghton City Council on May 3.
