To the editor:

We are writing in support of Mike Salmi for Houghton City Council. Mike is a hard-worker and a person who will “get things done.”

Mike understands the importance of discussion and the importance of hearing all sides to an issue, but is a person who will then act. Mike has a long history of community service including various coaching roles, serving as the past president of the Mont Ripley Race team, and serving as an Elder at his church. Additionally, Mike is a former U.S. Army officer and a U.S. Army Veteran having served in several deployments to Bosnia, Iraq and Uzbekistan.

Mike is committed to Houghton, the Houghton school system and will be an excellent choice for our city council. We encourage the people of Houghton to vote for him.
