Houghton Boosters grateful for support from community
To the Editor:
The Houghton All Sports Boosters raises funds for sporting equipment, safety equipment, and uniforms for Houghton High and Middle School athletes. On May 18, a drawing was held for 67 donated prizes: $4,750 in cash prizes and $4,850 in gift certificates and merchandise. The Boosters is grateful to the outstanding support from parents, family, alumni, and friends, who purchased over 1,100 tickets, helping Boosters earn $8,565 in profits.
We wish to extend our appreciation to The Print Shop for printing the tickets. We thank Ted Simonsen at Ameriprise Financial for providing the Grand Prize of $2,000 cash, and to Brent Peterson, Steve Zutter and Hunter Rajala at Edward Jones for the $1,000 and $500 cash prizes.
