Thanks to supporters for a successful youth event

The “BE KIND TO YOUR MIND!” Youth Fair held on Saturday, Jan. 27, was a success! As one teen participant stated, “I really liked how kind everyone was and how welcoming and accepting this event felt.”

Keweenaw Support 4 Healthy Minds would like to thank our primary sponsor, Keweenaw Community Foundation Youth Advisory Council, for making this event possible. Other supporters include the Western UP Health Department, Reliable Rides Taxi and Errands, and Hancock Public Schools for holding the event at the Hancock Middle School.

Thank you also to the groups and businesses who donated volunteers, materials and gift cards for our drawing: Keweenaw CAPE, Unite Mental Health and Wellness, Mental Health Support Group – Keweenaw Area, Impaled Tattoo, Musical Zen with Jenny, Five Elements Integrative Therapy Academy, Nic Wilson, Roy’s Bakery, Ilo of Hancock, Swift’s Hardware, Magic Kiln, Steep & Brew, Black Ice Comics, Rhythm Bike and Board Co., K.C. Bonkers, Sunflower Books and Coffee, Chicago Beefs, Suomi Restaurant and Peterlin Distributing. My apologies if I forgot to list someone.

We are such a generous community!
