Federal Firings and Local Perspectives
Firstly, thank you Mining Gazette for reporting on how the recent waves of firings by the Trump Administration are effecting UP forests, schools, and communities. It’s great to get a local perspective on national news.
Secondly, the recent reporting on our U.S. Senator Gary Peters voicing opposition to the proposed firing of 83,000 Veterans Affairs employees, including 20,000 veterans, was striking in that the voice of our U.S. Representative, and veteran, Jack Bergman is absent.
