Greenland

Editor: How is it possible that a President of the United States would threaten to invade a NATO ally? In this case –Greenland, which is part of Denmark. This would destroy NATO, the strongest defense we have against Russia and other enemy countries.

Congress needs to strongly admonish this type of rhetoric from any official of our government and affirm that we respect and honor the boundaries of other nations. Any military action taken against a sovereign country without a declaration of war from Congress should be understood as illegal and unconstitutional. Our military must refuse to follow such orders.

President Eisenhower would never have acted in this manner. Where is our country’s integrity? Is this what the people of the United States voted for? I hope there is a resounding condemnation of this attempt to seize territories, including Venezuela.
