To the Editor:

On behalf of everyone at Omega House, I would like to extend our gratitude to the many businesses, volunteers, and participants who made our Annual Omega House ATV Ride on Saturday, June 20, such an incredible success.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, more than 180 riders participated in this year’s event, helping raise $7,200 to support the end-of-life care mission of Omega House. These funds will help ensure we continue providing compassionate, dignified care to individuals and families in our community during one of life’s most important journeys.

This event would not be possible without the support of our local businesses and individuals who donated prizes, provided sponsorship, volunteered their time, or otherwise contributed to its success. We extend our appreciation to:

We the People

Editor:

On the precipice of the 250th anniversary of the United States of America, the iconic phrase “We The People” as an intention of Unity among our great States deserves our attention. “We The People” has no disclaimers. There are no parties in our constitution, no mention of such factions that divide us today, and we are ALL in this together. We all have families to care for and bills to pay. We need clean air and water, and We the People all have to eat.

In his farewell address George Washington warned us of three primary forces that could destroy our Republic:

1. The influence of foreign money in our elections

2. Excessive debt (our national debt has risen 45% since 2020)

3. Hyper-partisanship

Importantly, Washington himself was a member of no party. He recognized that parties are self-interested and create a deadlocked and dysfunctional democracy. This opens the door for the authoritarian ambitions of a demagogue. We The People are all in the same boat! Our hull has been breached. The rich oligarchs who’ve placed themselves in power use fear to divide us and further feed their fat pockets, watching and perpetuating the struggle We The People endure merely for meager access to basic resources.

The founders went to great lengths to keep us, all of us in these great States, United. Let us ALL defend Democracy because OUR Democracy is exactly what’s on the line! Let’s choose to live as the neighbors that we are. To do this, We The People must participate in our democracy.

Remember, the federal government’s power is derived from the consent of the governed. “We The People” were the whole thing! We have more power, more rights than they want us to know. Let’s exercise them!

Sign up to help with local elections (contact Jennifer Kelly for Houghton County). Support a campaign for something you care about. Join organizations that work on important causes. Let us remember that our democracy is “Of the People, For the

People, and By the People. ” Stand as neighbors, We the People of the Copper Country, a land with no king, defending our democracy and our constitution. We intend to keep them! Our flag is an important symbol of our Unity, our United States. Wear it proudly and never forget that 250 years ago, “We The People” risked everything!!!

A message to SANE Republicans (I know you’re out there)

He pardoned 1600 violent criminals. You said nothing.

He bulldozed the East Wing. You said nothing.

He interfered with the release of the Epstein files. You said nothing.

He accepted a $400 million plane as a gift from a foreign country. You said nothing.

He threatened Canada, Greenland, Cuba, Venezuela, Colombia and Brazil. You said nothing.

He tariffed just about every country but Russia. You said nothing.

His war of choice killed 165 children the first day of bombing. You said nothing.

He alienated and insulted our allies. You said nothing.

His ICE army attacked and killed US citizens. You said nothing.

He co-opted the Justice Department to investigate and prosecute his political enemies. You said nothing.

Now he’s threatening to derail our midterm elections.

Isn’t it about time to start talking?

The Everlasting Gospel

Revelation 14:6-7 says “And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to reach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of water.” It is the same gospel preached by Paul.

An angel will be flying from nation to nation shouting so loudly that all will hear the gospel one last time. This angel knows that supernatural creation of all things by Jesus Christ is the very foundation of His gospel. Thus the message will result in the greatest revival in history, but it isn’t the Church Age. It is Post-Rapture.

There will be a “falling away” not a revival (2 Thess. 2:3). 2 Timothy 3:5 tells of a “form of godliness” where humanists will have a pseudo-religion but will deny its power like creation, miracles, hell, etc. This will be obvious in these LAST days. 1 Timothy 4:1-5 warns us about departing from the faith.

Once the church is gone, God employs supernatural efforts to proclaim the gospel one final time through the 144,000 evangelists. Revelation 7:4 says that these are 144,000 Jews. There were twelve tribes of Israel listed in Revelation 7, i.e., Juda, Reuben, Gad, Aser, Nepthalim, Manasses, Simeon, Levi, Issachar, Zabulon, Joseph and Benjamin (KJV). That means that of each of these tribes twelve thousand were sealed.

As a result of their ministry Rev 7:9 says, “a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language will come to faith in Christ.” That would be a true revival. But remember, it is Post-Rapture and not in the believer’s lifetime.

Also, those Two Witnesses in Revelation will have miraculous powers to accompany their message in Revelation 11:6. Nobody will be able to stop them from evangelizing. True prophets, these men will speak by divine revelation (Revelation 11). So effective will be their witness that the Antichrist will have them killed. However, they will be resurrected. Also, Revelation 14:6-7 says an angel during the Tribulation will proclaim an “everlasting gospel” to every nation, language, tribe, and people. The message urges all humanity to fear, worship and glorify God because the hour of His judgment has arrived.

Keep in mind that this writing is about “future history.” Every one of us should be certain that we are born again so that we don’t miss the Rapture. That way we won’t have to try to survive the Tribulation.
