Callie Knuuttila

Callie Knuuttila is the daughter of Bretton Knuuttila and Melanie Storm. She recently graduated from Houghton High School where she was treasurer of the National Honor Society. She qualified for the national competition in Business Professionals of America in Nashville for her interview skills. She was president of the Youth Advisory Council of the Keweenaw (YAC) and secretary of her senior class. Callie has been involved with the Student Leadership Advisory Council of the Keweenaw (SLACK) and completed an internship at UPWard Legal. Callie is a Joyce Ivy Scholar because of her academic and extracurricular resume. Last year she attended the Yale University Young Global Scholars Program. Callie donates her time baking pies and cookies for Little Brothers, helping with Toys for Tots and handing out flowers and cards to nursing home residents. She was the captain of the girls varsity soccer team and received the Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce Youth Contributor of the Year award. She is employed as a waitress at Applebees.  Callie hopes to study psychology and become a defense attorney or a government representative. Callie is sponsored by J Jukuri Spa and Salon.
