Calumet Sewing Center sponsors Nynna Jarvi. Nynna will be a senior at Calumet High School this fall. She is a member of the National Honor Society and has been an Honor Roll student for three years. She has served as a member of the Prom Committee and the SADD Chapter. Nynna is also a member of the Pep Club and has been in cheerleading and bowling throughout high school. Nynna has helped at high school track meets and with extra activities for first grade students. She has baked for sales at school functions and participated with the Copper Shores Puppy Parade. She marched in the Bridgefest Parade to advertise for a Big Annie statue in Calumet. Nynna volunteered her time for both a Copper Shores Family Health Fair and the NHS Mental Health Fair. She is a talented artist, especially with animal paintings. She made her own art business out of her passion and has sold paintings all over the country. Nynna has won many art contest awards. She also enjoys sewing and knitting. Nynna is employed at AmericInn by Wyndham and the Copper Scoop. She plans to attend college to study art education. Her goal is to then pursue a masters degree in art and design. Nynna is the daughter of Bridget and Jamie Jarvi.
