L’ANSE — The Houghton Gremlins continued its winning ways, capturing the Ontonagon Invite at the L’Anse Golf Club Monday. 

Houghton’s Kaaren Liston earned medalist honors with a 43 to lead a Gremlins squad that finished with a team score of 208 — 15 strokes better than the second-place Ontonagon Gladiators. 

Hancock’s Payton Dube was second with a 48, while Jeffers’ Julia Nordstrom led the Jets with a 50, good for third place overall.  

For Ontonagon, Belle Lutz and Sam Lutz each finished with 52 for a tie for fourth place.

Houghton’s Ellie Helman took sixth with a 52. Ontonagon’s Morgan Picotte had a 54 for seventh place.

The teams are in action today at Portage Lake Golf Course for the final regular season meet before U.P. Finals on May 31.
