BESSEMER — The Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes needed just three sets to defeat the host Bessemer Speedgirls, 25-6, 25-12, 25-4, on the road Thursday.

Mariah Willmer led the way for the Lakes with 11 kills on 15 hits for a hitting percentage of .733 for the night. She also picked up an ace along the way.

Alyssa Burton racked up seven kills and an ace to add to the offense. Jocelyn Perala was dominant on the serve with seven aces, and she added four kills as well.

Jamie Hendrickson also had a big night with three kills, five aces and 22 assists.

Defensively, Kaitlyn Baccus led the way with five digs.
