Shottle Bop claim runners-up in Wisconsin

APPLETON — The Shottle Bop Frisbee team from Hancock took second place at the Wisconsin State Frisbee Championship last weekend, losing to the Appleton Assassins in the finals in two games. The Shottle Bop won the tournament in 2017.

Next up is the 62nd Coca-Cola International Frisbee Tournament, July 6-7, at Hancock’s Driving Park, where the defending champion Assassins will battle two teams from Japan, in addition to six-time champions Boomtown Saints, Shottle Bop, Blame the Dog, and many others.

Four players will also be inducted into the International Frisbee and USA Guts Hall of Fame: Al Bauman and Tom Matuzak from the great Motor City Frisbee Teams of the late 1970s and early 1980s, Bill “Brock” DePetro from Marquette, and John Sappington of Ann Arbor.
