CHASSELL — The Chassell boys basketball team was a question mark coming into the season, but that question was partly answered.

The Panthers cruised to a 77-51 win over Baraga on Thursday.

Chassell senior Bill Rautiola led with 26 points in the first half, while sophomore brother Karl had thirteen in the first half. Baraga had seventeen points as a team in the same time.

Bill Rautiola finished with 30 points, while Karl finished with 17.

The starters for Chassell sat out nearly the entire second half, though Bill and Karl Rautiola wound up with thirty and seventeen respectively. But it was an entire team effort with good defense, and ball handling and team play.

Baraga used the low post to complement outside shooting.

Chassell hosts Ontonagon on Monday, while Baraga hosts Watersmeet.
