HOUGHTON -- Here is a recap of recent local Little League action.

Copper Country Majors Little League semifinals begin at 10 a.m. and noon Saturday in South Range. The championship game is 6 p.m. Tuesday in South Range.

CC Minors Little League semifinals begin at 10 a.m. and noon Saturday in South Range. The championship game is at 6 p.m. Tuesday in South Range.

In Keweenaw Little League playoffs, Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home plays American Legion Post 61 at noon Saturday at Gipp Field 1.

Thursday, June 24

Semifinals: ECPFH 4, KBear 3

Josh Asiala drove in Aaron Londo for KBear's first run. Owen Peterson drove in Max Harju for their second and Izaak Englund hit Toby Johnson for a 3-2 lead in the fourth. Joe Halonen drove in Oscar Loukus for ECPFH's first run. Luke Hamlin scored twice for ECPFH. Jett Stites drove in Carter Sturos for the winning run in the fifth. Owen Peterson and Kayden Davidson pitched for KBear. Owen Loukus and Oscar Loukus pitched for ECPFH.

American Legion Post-61 10, Mohawk Technologies 0

Brad Davis pitched five shutout innings for American Legion Post 61. Brady Axford hit a home run. Jax Carlson pitched three innings for MT, allowing one run.

Frank A. Douglass Agency 9, Sweet Treats 4

Tally Storm, Jillian Isaacson, Kayla Aho, Natalie Somero and Adele O'Neill all had hits for Frank A. Douglass Agency. Isaacson and Aho each had four RBI. Isaacson, Storm and Ruby Peterson pitched and had a combined nine strikeouts.

Wednesday, June 23

Range Bank 14, Pat's Foods 3

Micah Isaacson and Rowan Randell combined on the mound for the win. Blake Helminen led the offense with three RBI. Dawson Reili and Ayden Hodges singled for Pat's Foods. Nate Capello reached base with two walks and scored twice.

Tuesday, June 22

Tervo Agency 17, Superior National Bank 6

Tervo Agency scored four in the top of the first for an early lead. Connor Helminen and Everett Matteson batted 4 for 4. Landon Gibson hit two doubles for Tervo Agency. Joel Durocher was 2 for 3 and Flynn Pennala hit a double for SNB.

ECPFH 6, KBear 3

Liam Debeaubien drove Luke Pennala in to score in the second inning. Owen Loukus doubled and later scored on an Oscar Loukus triple. Max Harju led off the fourth for KBear with a triple but was stranded. ECPFH took a 6-0 lead. Niiko Johnson and Aaron Londo led off the KBear fifth with walks. Izaak Englund hit a three-run home run to cut the lead.

Mohawk Technologies 11, American Legion Post-61 11

Both teams tied each other for the second time this season. Brady Axford had three hits including a triple for American Legion Post 61. Lukas Axford hit a double and triple. Tyler Axford also tripled. Landen Abramson had three hits for Mohawk Technologies, including a ground-rule double. John Kero, Ryan Rajala and Drake Niemala had two hits each for MT.

Saturday, June 19

Rajala's Kitchen 15, Pat's Foods 4

Emmit Hainault was 3 for 4 at the plate with three runs scored. Finley Matteson scored three runs.

Thursday, June 17

Mohawk Technologies 5, KBear 3

Jax Carlson hit a two-run triple to center to power Mohawk Technologies' win. Ryan Rajala hit an RBI double to tie the game just prior to Carlson's triple. Niiko Johnson pitched all six innings for KBear. John Kero, Rajala and Cole Kero pitched for MT, and Kero was credited with the win. Max Harju batted 2 for 3 for KBear with an RBI and a run scored.

American Legion Post-61 8, Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home 6

The Axford triplets led American Legion Post 61, with Brady, Lukas and Tyler all scoring twice apiece. Oscar Loukus hit a triple for ECPFH.

Wednesday, June 16

Rajala's Kitchen 20, Range Bank 5

Emmit Hainault, Hayden Matteson and Tash Helminen each batted 2 for 3 with three runs scored for Rajala's Kitchen.

Tuesday, June 15

ECPFH 14, Mohawk Technologies 4

Owen Loukus batted 3 for 3 with two runs scored for ECPFH. Oscar Loukus batted 2 for 3 with a triple and two runs scored. Luke Hamlin was 2 for 3 with two runs scored. Jax Carlson hit a three-run home run for Mohawk Technologies.

American Legion Post-61 13, KBear 8

Brady Axford was 3 for 3 with a triple and three runs scored. Brad Davis scored three times and hit a home run with two RBI. Toby Johnson and Kayden Davidson homered for KBear, and Izaak Englund tripled.

J. Peltier Construction 5, Houghton Building Supply 4

Nolan Hanner led J. Peltier Construction on the mound, throwing a one-hitter through 4 1/3 innings with eight strikeouts. Chase Keranen threw the final 1 2/3 innings. Hanner batted 2 for 3 and scored twice. HBS was ahead 4-3 going into the bottom of the sixth when Sophia Blake drove in the tying run with a single through the middle.
